Dean Carlson

Dean has been programming, mixing and researching music his entire life, starting as Music Director at the 20 watt radio station at Bellevue High School. He immediately jumped into programming/on-air roles at Seattle broadcast stations KISW, KXRX and KMTT. He segued to Internet radio companies, The Dial and Loudeye, and later launched his own syndicated, modern global music radio show, Fusion, heard in over 25 countries. Dean became a Music Supervisor, first at Mood Media, now at PlayNetwork, building playlists for high-profile brands and managing all incoming content for the music library. In addition to work, he has sat on numerous boards and volunteered at festivals, including The Recording Academy, WOMAD, The Seattle International Film Festival, the Decibel Festival, and Bumbershoot.
