Led by a top instructor Megan M. Seaman, these zen-inducing yoga classes will lead you to that happy place, setting you up right for another day of panel insights and music mayhem.

Megan M. Seaman, yogi, spiritual mentor, and life-long student, has been studying and engaging in the practice of yoga for the past eight years. She aims to empower others with knowledge and self-awareness. Additionally, her purpose is to foster intentional and mindful connections to all beings, as well as express understanding and compassion for the interconnected system in which all beings exist.

In May 2012, Megan became a Certified Yoga Teacher through the Marni Task Jivasara Yoga Teacher Training, in Cleveland, Ohio. She has been trained in the principles of Jivamukti and Anusara yoga. In her classes, you will find a mix of both methods, with a focus on building mindfulness of the spirit (breath) as it exists and powers bodies and minds. She has taught at the Yoga Room in the Little Italy neighborhood of Cleveland, Michelle Star Yoga in Middleburg Heights, and Fitness 19 Cleveland in Westpark. Currently, she is teaching at Fitness Edge in the Lakewood, OH. In addition to Megan’s devotion to yoga, she works as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Art Therapy and Counseling at Ursuline College. Her intention is to create an egalitarian and scholarly environment for the exchange of knowledge and ideas of her students and colleagues. She is a National Certified Counselor and is working on the completion of her doctoral studies in Counselor Education.

Currently, she is working on her doctoral dissertation study, entitled Caring for the Caregiver: Exploration of Social Support and Sibling Connection in Relationships of Adult Siblings Caring for Aging Parents with Dementia, due to be defended this spring 2013.
