Dick Wingate boasts over 35 years of experience across recorded music, digital music and interactive media and is currently Principal at DEV Advisors, providing a bridge between the technology and entertainment industries with digital business strategy, content acquisition, licensing and distribution, and access to key relationships. He also serves as President of BHI Music Group, an independent music label and publisher. He is an advisor to companies including Songza, LiveStage, MindPix (symbol: MPIX), BAMM.tv, Music X-Ray, StudioOne Media (symbol: SOMD), MyMusicCloud, Kkorus Entertainment Technologies as well as venture firms Digital Entertainment Ventures (DEV) and Cava Capital. Dick helped pioneer the digital music business during his years as SVP, Content Development and Label Relations at Liquid Audio, Inc., playing an integral role in the company’s 1999 IPO. He also served as President, Media Development & Chief Content Officer for Nellymoser, Inc., one of the earliest providers of streaming media mobile apps. He spent 20 years at major record labels Columbia, PolyGram, Arista and Epic Records including SVP marketing and SVP A&R positions, building the careers of Elvis Costello, Bruce Springsteen, Aimee Mann, Peter Tosh, Garland Jeffreys and Eddy Grant, among many others.
